Alan BeamsAlan joined Grayside in November 2008, having already worked in the industry for nearly 25 years. He was appointed as a Director of Grayside in 2011, and runs our Insurance Department.
He has attained 'Chartered Insurance Broker' status by examination and specialises in all aspects of Commercial Insurance. He likes meeting clients face to face, so that he can really understand their business and the risks it faces. Many clients do not read their policies from cover to cover, so for him, pointing out specific terms and conditions to our clients adds value, as it means claims will be met by the insurer with the minimum of delay from the insurer.
Outside of work Alan is married and has 2 boys. He has a keen interest in cars, classic and modern, is a regular clay pigeon shooter and has a small speed boat that he takes to Cornwall each summer.
